About me

I am an associate professor at Jean Monnet University (Saint-Etienne, France). I work in the Machine Learning team at the Hubert-Curien lab.

I obtained my European PhD Degree at Rovira i Virgili University (Tarragona, Spain) in 2006. During my PhD studies, I did several research stays at 4 different universities: University of Alicante (Spain), Waseda University (Japan), University of Maryland Baltimore County (USA), and Jean Monnet University (France). My post-doctoral training includes a two-year stay at the Department of Computer Science at Yale University, where I was supported by a Marie Curie Outgoing International Fellowship (OIF) from the European Commission.

My research interests include Grammatical Inference, Formal Language Theory, Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining and Information Retrieval.
