Scientific outreach

I am also involved in scientific outreach. I have participated in several events aimed at promoting science to the general public.

  • Workshops and interactive sessions for schools "chercheur en classe" and "Speed Meeting LycĂ©e Thiers": These meetings take place in the form of speed-meetings with high school students: each group, composed of about ten students, attended short 15-minute sessions with six speakers. Each speaker presented their educational background, their academic and career choices, their post-secondary path, their profession or current studies, their typical day, and the skills required for their work. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and explore a wide variety of scientific careers.

  • Public lectures and talks "Treize Minutes Jeunes Chercheurs": During this event, six young researchers from various scientific fields each had exactly 13 minutes to explain their research topics to the general public (using simple terms). The event attracted more than 800 people, including around a hundred high school and middle school students.

  • Public events "European Researchers' Night": During this event, dozens of researchers from all disciplines are gathered. They offer the general public Speed Searching sessions, games, hands-on activities, unusual tours, and scenographed spaces to present their research.
